38 Weeks

I had my 38 week appointmnent yesterday. I was shocked to find out that I am 1cm dilated and 80% effaced! I can't believe it...I could have a baby any day now! In the meantime, I have been working from home since Tuesday of this week and will continue to do so until Samuel arrives. I have been keeping myself very busy with cleaning, laundry, packing our hospital bags and resting in between. We have a day of college football planned tomorrow and then my parents are coming on Sunday. My mom is probably going to stay for good on Sunday. I have an appointment on Wednesday unless he comes sooner! We plan to just rest and wait until something happens...soon I hope!

37 Week Appointment

We had our 37 week appointment yesterday. They did an ultrasound and predicted that he weighs 6lbs 11 1/2 oz. My doctor said it could be any day now! We go back on Thursday to see if I have dilated any at all...I am getting ready to start doing some work from home and then going out on leave around the 12th of the month. His original due date is on October 23rd so we are waiting patiently!

Baby Showers and More Baby Showers...

After my first shower in Opp and then our trip to Disney World I had 3 more showers to go. I had so much fun at each of them and got so much stuff I was definetely overwhelmed! On September 12th Donny's family and friends had us a shower in Dothan at 34 weeks pregnant. My bff and some of friends from Marriott had me a small shower at Rum Runners on September 19th at 35 weeks prenant. Last but not least on September 25th my work had a shower for me at 36 weeks pregnant. We have so much cute stuff and I can't wait for Samuel to get here to use all of it!

Disney World Labor Day 2009 33 Weeks Pregnant

Disney World was lots of fun! In Epcot I went into Japan and picked an oyster with a pearl in it. My pearl was 7 inches and Donny had a ring made for me! I love it! We also had some of our really good friends from Destin there and enjoyed spending time with them!

First Baby Shower August 22nd in Opp

Catching Up....

Wow! Alot has happened in a month...We had our first baby shower in Opp on August 22nd and it was wonderful! I have a wonderful group of friends and family. I have been out of Opp for almost 10 years now but I still love going "home!"

We also had maternity pictures made here on the beach. Ironically we had our first date not far from where we live now! We also went to Disney World for labor day weekend...at 33 weeks pregnant!

I am now 34 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Samuel was weighing in at a wopping 5lbs 11oz at my 32 week appointment. The normal weight is around 3.5 pounds for this time frame so he is either going to be really big or had a growth spurt! I have my 34 week appoinment this week on Thursday and then another apointment at 36 to do a growth ultrasound to see if he is still big. He is in the 83rd percentile for his weight but very healthy and he has a fat belly!
