First Baby Shower August 22nd in Opp

Catching Up....

Wow! Alot has happened in a month...We had our first baby shower in Opp on August 22nd and it was wonderful! I have a wonderful group of friends and family. I have been out of Opp for almost 10 years now but I still love going "home!"

We also had maternity pictures made here on the beach. Ironically we had our first date not far from where we live now! We also went to Disney World for labor day weekend...at 33 weeks pregnant!

I am now 34 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Samuel was weighing in at a wopping 5lbs 11oz at my 32 week appointment. The normal weight is around 3.5 pounds for this time frame so he is either going to be really big or had a growth spurt! I have my 34 week appoinment this week on Thursday and then another apointment at 36 to do a growth ultrasound to see if he is still big. He is in the 83rd percentile for his weight but very healthy and he has a fat belly!

Our New House

Donny and I moved into a new house in May. We decided to move from our other house because all of the bedrooms were upstairs and we wanted something one story. We ended up finding the perfect house only 3 blocks to the beach. It is across from Destin Commons in the Crystal Beach area of Destin...The Master Bedroom and Bathroom isn't on here or the Kitchen...they aren't done yet...

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend! On Friday my mom came to stay for the weekend and then on Saturday my dad and Donny's parents came and we went out for dinner. We tried to take a stroll to the beach but it started raining before we got there so we had to hurry back. My dad spent the night and on Sunday we got up and went to lunch at Stinky's Fish Camp in Blue Mtn Beach. It was great. My mom and I painted and decorated the nursery and our new house. I haven't had much time to unpack so she helped me out a lot. On Monday we went to Destin Commons and got a Dave's Dog and then my parents went back home. It was a great weekend and we got a lot accomplished. Pictures to follow...The theme of the nursery is Vintage Beach...

It's a Boy!!!

It's been a while since I have posted but our lives have been very busy. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and it's a boy! We had a very busy first weekend of May. We moved into a new house (pics to come) and we found out on Monday the 4th what we were having. I had a really bad cold and had to go to the doctor 2 days early so they went ahead and did an ultra sound. The tech had to push on my stomach quiet a bit but finally he flipped over and we saw "the goods." We are very excited and now we can start preparing the nursery! I hope to post some pictures this weekend!

The family knows....

My parents came up last weekend for my dad's birthday! We picked my mom up on Thursday night and I took the day off on Friday to hang out with her. Thursday night after we got home I asked my mom to look at what I had bought my dad for his birthday (it's a onsie that says "Grandpa's my hero". Needless to say she was very shocked but REALLY excited. We went for pedicures on Friday and hung out around the house. My dad came on Saturday and we gave him the present. Let's just say he was VERY excited. We went to dinner and then they went home. I felt the sickest I had felt at all that weekend but on Monday after my first appt I haven't been nauseated or sick at all.

On Sunday we called all of Donny's family and they were excited as well. We can now begin planning since everyone knows!
